Riggs Eckelberry & Chris Paine – The Future of Transportation
Everyone seems to agree that the world’s transportation infrastructure is way past due for an upgrade. The real question is how? There are two camps on the future of transportation: one of them vehemently believes that electric cars and battery based energy storage systems will rule the day. The other believes that liquid fuel is here to stay – BUT – the type of liquid may be radically different from what we use today. Enter: Algae Fuel.
At this week’s METal Event we will focus on electric and BioFuels. The winner in this alternative energy race will ultimately determine a global, mutli-trillion dollar industry. It will make and break empires.
Joining us will be two world-class experts on the subject at hand: Chris Paine, director of the movies “Who Killed the Electric Car” and – more recently “REVENGE of the Electric Car.” Chis will enlighten us about the reality of EV’s – are they are rich man’s plaything or the true future? Contrasting Chris will be algae fuel expert Riggs Eckelberry. Riggs is involved in a new technology which is being used by the Department of Defense and grown in ponds in the vast Australian desert. Riggs has already made fuel from algae – and sees a lot more of it coming. Dont’ miss this future conversation of technology that is actually happening now.
